Title:Back in the Spotlight:

Carl Hendel’s Oliver 2255 Stars in Agtegra Commercial

By Tracy Anderson

It’s not every day that an Oliver tractor gets the call to be in a TV commercial, but that’s exactly what happened when a piece of farming history took center stage for Agtegra in the Dakotas.

Agtegra was looking for a vintage tractor that captured the spirit of the land and the people who work it. They needed something bold, dependable, and iconic. Enter Carl Hendel’s Oliver FWA 2255. It is a 1976, weighs about 18000 lbs. and a wheelbase of 83.5. a powerhouse of its time and a true showstopper even decades later.

When I found out Agtegra was looking for a tractor for their commercial, a few chats later and we made it happen. The big green Oliver made the trip to Hills, Minnesota, and just like that it was back to work, this time in front of the camera.

Watching the film crew set up around Carl’s tractor was surreal. The Oliver wasn’t just background; it was the symbol. A visual reminder of deep roots, strong hands, and the machines that helped build rural America.

For Carl, and for all of us who admire these tractors, it was a proud moment. The 2255 got the recognition it deserved, and Agtegra got the perfect shot.

Sometimes history doesn’t just repeat itself, the Oliver 2255 comes roaring back, louder and sharper than ever

A big thank you to Carl Hendel, Agtegra, Midco, and the Kellenberger family for making this possible.
